How to care for your jewelry

We make pieces of jewelry that are meant to bring you joy for many years. To ensure this is successful, we recommend that you always treat your jewelry with care and love. There are a few things to consider.

What you should generally pay attention to!

Protect your jewelry from harder objects and avoid impacts and knocks, for example. Take off jewelry and rings when bathing, showering, and washing your hands. Depending on your work or everyday activities, it may also be a good idea to take off your jewelry, for example when gardening, repairing a bike, or climbing. Store your jewelry in the case we provide and separately from other jewelry.

How does the surface change?

The surface of your piece of jewelry changes over the years. The guiding principle is always: "Matte surfaces polish themselves through wear, polished surfaces become matte." For many pieces of jewelry, this surface change takes place over years and is often not even noticeable. It is different for rings, which are used in many everyday activities and naturally show signs of wear. The surface change begins with the first few days of wear and lasts about half a year until the rings have a shiny or satin-matt surface. Many people are very happy with this because their rings can testify that they are loved and worn, because: All rings look like this :-)

How can I rework the surface?

For some people, renewing the surface is part of jewelry care. Before you take the jewelry to a specialist shop, which costs a lot of money, we recommend that you simply refinish the surface yourself. To do this, we always provide you with an exclusive matting fleece for matted surfaces or a polishing cloth for polished surfaces. We also provide you with instructions on what to look out for when refinishing. From now on, you can refresh the surface yourself at any time.

How do I clean my jewelry?

If necessary, you can clean your jewelry yourself without much effort. Rings and earrings in particular often collect dirt particles when worn regularly. This can cause gemstones in particular to appear duller and not sparkle quite as beautifully. You can make your jewelry shine again quite quickly with warm water, mild soap and a soft (tooth) brush. Make sure that you do not apply too much pressure and proceed carefully, then it is very easy!

Regular check-ups

We recommend that you check your jewelry regularly yourself and have us examine it if necessary. This way we can identify and resolve any problems early on. One issue is, for example, chains that have been worn intensively and whose eyelets become thinner over the years. If you check them in good time, we can prevent your chain from breaking and getting lost. Even with jewelry that has several gemstones, it is advisable to check more often whether all the stones are still firmly in place or whether a stone has become loose.
